Your captain will take you to secluded, boat-access-only islands throughout the Ten Thousand Islands—home to some of Southwest Florida’s best shelling. You’ll explore pristine beaches, walk the shoreline, and search for treasures like sand dollars, starfish, and a wide variety of shells.
Depending on tide and location, you may come across prized shells such as True Tulips, Turbans, Nutmegs, Rose Petal Tellins, Murex, Scallops, Fighting Conch, Olives, Florida Cones, Jasper Cones, and even the rare Junonia. Every day offers something different!
Absolutely. Our crew is trained to help you find, identify, and learn about the shells you discover. They’re also happy to guide you along the beach and share information about the area’s marine life and ecosystems.
We recommend water shoes, sunscreen (no aerosols, please), a hat, a shell bag or bucket, and cash for tipping your crew. Complimentary water is provided, and you’re welcome to bring snacks or other beverages. Please remember to pack out anything you bring—we strive to keep our beaches clean.
Yes! Shelling is a relaxing, family-friendly experience, and our crew is great with guests of all ages. Kids especially love discovering different shells and marine creatures along the shoreline.
You may keep shells that are not alive. Any live shells, starfish, or sand dollars must be returned to the water to protect local wildlife. Your crew will help you determine what is allowed.
